Hey everyone,

On my phone, it says I have 1.8 GB free, with 5.8 GB taken up by music.

When plugged into my MBP, the iPhone info on my iTunes Summary says that I have 1.39 GB free, with 6.1 GB taken up by music (with slight discrepancies between photo memory, etc.)

Which is correct, why would there be this discrepancy, and how can I correct it?

They changed the way hard drive space is calculated in Lion. I'm not sure about the iPhone, but I don't recall hearing about it changing so I'm guessing it's still the old style. I'm wondering if perhaps this is the difference here. Do you have Lion on your computer?

I am running Lion. Here are screenshots, one from iTunes on my MBP running Lion with my iPhone connected, the other directly from my iPhone's usage page.

edit: strange, it changes every time I plug in my iPhone. Here, the info from the iTunes summary matched up with the iPhone info. However, after syncing it connected by USB, it changed again to be closer to why I made this post. Uploading the new screenshot from iTunes
