Usage Stats - Tethering

I was just checking my usage stats after reading another thread on here and noticed something strange. I know what tethering is but I don't know how to use it or set it up.

But when I got into usage stats it shows there has been a small amount of data both sent and received. how is this possible?

Usage Stats don't have to do just with tethering - they include all of the data your phone has exchanged.

The other conversations about tethering have to do more with the large amount of data under Usage Stats because of the tethering, and not the fact that there are stats there to begin with.

I missed that you're in the UK. I'll have to let someone comment who is more familiar with UK plans.
