I'd like to transfer my USB 2.0 PCI card from my outgoing PowerMac G4 to my new Mac Pro. I think that PCI cards fit in the PCI-X slots, but I'm not 100% certain. Advice please.

The Mac Pro only has PCI-Express slots. They're not backwards compatible with your PCI USB 2.0 card. Keep in mind the Mac Pro does have a lot more USB ports to begin with when compared to a Power Mac G4. You might not need more ports.

OK. Thanks everyone. I don't need more ports bad enough to spend $60. I was mostly hoping I could transfer my current PCI card to my new workstation, but I guess not.
