I have had no luck getting the USB card in the PCI slot in my Beige G3 to work with my USB external drives.. (earlier thread):

So I'm seriously thinking of getting the USB 2.0 to IDE SATA 2.5 3.5 Hard Drive HDD Adapter from ebay:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/USB-2-0-...tors&hash=item27bcc1fbe4&_uhb=1#ht_7682wt_946
Does that mean that:
1. I can connect the internal IDE internal drive (or is it SATA?) to this adapter and then connect into one of my iMac 27"'s USB ports and copy off. I assume this must be hosted from my iMac 27"'s USB2 ports?
It this is possible I can copy as many JAZ disks and ZIP disks to the internal HD's then open up the G3, pull out the drives and connect to my iMac and copy the data over and repeat (many times) till complete. **ugh**
----------
One other thought, as there is usually a second connector (on the same ribbon, or off the G3 motherboard) would it possible to connect the USB 2.0 to IDE SATA adapter to this so I can still have the main internal HD inside the machine, hence not needing to take it out of the machine. Would make life a lot simpler.
Then I just connect my USB2 external drive to the USB2 cable off the adaptor. The side door of the G3 would have to open of course, but a non-issue
Is this feasible?
