USB 2 Hub for Powerbook

I have a 1.25Ghz Powerbook that does not have USB 2. My new iPod will arrive in a few days, and I don't want to have to wait 3 and a half weeks to load all my music, so I decided to get a USB 2 Hub. I have no idea what they are, or how they work. I looked on Futureshops website and I was wondering if this is the right thing.

And also, would it be worth 40 bucks to do this?

If it doesnt have USB 2 then a hub won't bump it up to USB 2.0. If you have a 15" or 17" PB, you can probably find a USB2 PC Card that goes in the slot, but if you have a 12", you're stuck with 1.1

I have a 15". But I'v never used any cards for anything before so I have no idea what to get, or what to do. Could you show me an example of what I would need?

Bingo. The IOGear products also work well. Just slip that in the slot, plug in the iPod, and you're good to go.

It's probably best to remove it when you don't need it, since it'll stick out from the side a little and drain the battery a little bit faster.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I will try filling my ipod without it first and see if it's bearable. The places I checked all showed it as being around $50.
