Hi,

I'm looking to purchase the 27' iMac when its available for pre-order.

I'm looking to convert my DVD and bluray collection so I can store my orginals and watch via Apple TV3.

I figure instead of purchasing a super drive from Apple, the bluray drive would help with both DVD and bluray using Makemkv and Handbrake.
And I can use the external drive for time machine backups.

Was wondering if anyone can recommend a USB 3.0 type bluray drive and also a USB 3.0 3TB+ backup external drive that works well with MAC/Mountain Lion.

Thanks,
Nick

I'm no expert but can Bluray even saturate USB2 bus? Also having USB 3.0 drive isn't necessity since it's only backup but I guess no harm done, they're not that much expensive over 2.0

This should work I guess.
