As you all know, transferring even a few hundred mp3 on an iPhone takes ages. Just try filling 32GB of music.

There are more and more external HDD getting USB 3.0. When do you think that the iPhone will get USB 3.0 as well? I think that next year's model would be perfect. And if not in 2011, for sure in 2012.
I also think that the Macs will start getting USB 3.0 starting next year (2011).

Some will prefer transferring files over the air, but I don't mind the cable. It also recharge the battery at the same time, so who cares.

Isn't Apple supporting the Lightpeak thingy...I could see Apple skipping USB 3.0 and going straight to Lightpeak if it is going to be ready in a year or two...beside lightpeak syncs would be wicked fast.

Ugh, I'm tired of people who just look at USB 3.0 and are like "Hmm lets put that in everything now and it will make it fast" NO. The iPhone's flash memory isn't even capable of maxing out USB 2.0 speeds. How will USB 3.0 help?

Can't wait for lightpeak. Will be amazing once everything gets it.
