Is it possible to install a usb 3.0 card to my macpro
Switching the front ports maybe?
I wanted to buy a 3.0 external drive and would start wanting to upgrade my ports for it.

Probably not because the motherboard or logic board does not support it and I think it more or less locks you out of trying it.

I use a caldigit card for this purpose. Works fine but a bit slower to mount a drive than the native usb 2 ports. Once in, it is fast.
