I'm having some issues with my LaCie USB 3 card in a new 5,1 Mac Pro. I'm using the patched kext with a Seagate GoFlex drive which worked fine under 10.7 but the drive does not show up in 10.8 even in disk utility. However, system profiler recognises the card, states that the driver is installed and even sees the GoFlex drive on the USB bus.

Since I don't have a genuine LaCie drive to test, I was wondering if anyone else with one is able to see whether or not this is an issue with the patched kext or just with 10.8 and the LaCie drivers in general.

I was told that the IOUSBFamily.kext and IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext from 10.8 DP3 will make it work (and they do) but using these causes my Bose Companion USB speaker setup to cease functioning. Not sure if the DP3 kexts I was given were dodgy or not though...
