Hi, I'm new here, this is my first post/question and above all sorry for my errible english!
The question is if somebody can suggest me an internal USB 3 for my old MacPro 3,1 (2008).
Thank you in advance for any advice!
Stefano B.

Mixed results with El Cap...

I’ve got a cMP3.1 and originally had an Inateck USB3 card which didn't work fully under OS X 10.11.

I then bought a generic one off eBay which works but has a problem when the mac goes to sleep, it disconnects the drives. “4 Port SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCIe Card *Apple Mac Pro *Native OSX 10.8.2 to 10.11.x”

Didn’t get much further. Just switched sleep off, although is uses serious power compared to my modern macs.

A number of years ago I updated my MP 3,1 to USB3 but I cannot remember now what brand of card it was. Never had an issue with it and I did run El Capitan on it.

I don't remember loading any extra drivers for it.

Searching my email shows this card I looked at in 2014: https://www.amazon.com/Optimized-Po...397846382&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=nateck+KT4004

Search the MP subgroup because that is where I found the card.

Good luck with your search.
