USB 3 Hub possible not to support OS X?

Hi,

I'm looking for a cheap USB 3 hub. I found one but it says that on Mac OS X it's limited to USB 2.0.
Why is a Mac compatible USB 3 hub needed? Or is it some kind of mistake perhaps?

If it "says that on Mac OS X it's limited to USB 2.0.", don't expect it to work with USB3.

Find something that specifically states it is for USB3.

Aside:
Even then, it seems like buying USB3 hubs for the Mac is often a crapshoot!

I wasn't, but I was hoping it was some kind of mistake.

Damn, they're all more expensive. That kinda sucks.
