Does anybody but me find it hellish hard to plug the USB-3 charging cable into a new model iPad? I never had a minute's trouble with a lightning plug, but now I'm finding it to be a damn nuisance.
 
Are you sure you're not trying to jam a micro USB into this thing? LOL. Otherwise I think you might have a defect.

I’d check you don’t have a little piece of grit or something in there. There shouldn’t be any problem plugging in.

In fact I’d go so far as to say USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 is my favourite serial connector ever. I hated USB 3.0, with those crappy skinny connectors on the back of external hard drives that end up loose with a crap connection eventually.
Or at least all but one of my 9 dives has.

I’ll be glad when everything goes USB-C. But I digress.
