When USB accessories in turned on (by default), ideally it should over 1 hour before user is forced to unlock device for phone to recognize. i.g changing via lightening cable..

Is Apple not holding true for the duration ?

Because in some cases my iPhone 6S plus is not always locked for an hour, and sometimes when i plug in to charge on my MBA the phone either:

- is locked, but starts changing, or
- says "please unlock to allow"

In both cases i only just locked my phone 5 seconds ago...

Why is my phone doing this ? I understood it only needs unlocking after an 1 hour is past.

"If you don’t first unlock your password-protected iOS device—or you haven’t unlocked and connected it to a USB accessory within the past hour—your iOS device won’t communicate with the accessory or computer, and in some cases, it might not charge. You might also see an alert asking you to unlock your device to use accessories."

Does anyone know why "in some cases" ?
