I have just received the new 2.2ghz 15" mpb yesterday. :D
Everything is just Apple, prefect!
But when I connected my bootable usb drive and boot via "target disk" mode, it boots into a grey screen with the Apple logo standing still. :(
To ensure the problem doesnt comes from the external drive, I tried to boot into it using my old white macbook, without a hitch. The os just load and pops right into OSX (10.6.7).

What could be the cause of this problem? And what could I do about it?
Thanks!

P.S. I am on Apple's 128GB SSD, 10.6.7
EDIT: I used the "Alt" key to select the drive, it shows up. Just won't boot into it.

Target disk mode only works for Firewire if I am not mistaken. What happens when you boot up holding down the alt key?

Solved!

Problem solved! Need driver upgrade by installing the osx that comes with new machines.
