Hi guys,
I think my MacBook is dying on me
The USB ports (neither of them) seem to be able to handle an external hard drive (powered). I plug my 320Gb device in, and get it to start the back up with TM, but part way through the back up it just ejects. This is getting really annoying, because I feel its also getting to the time that I want to do a clean install of the OS, and without a solid backup of all my stuff, i'm reluctant to do this.
So, can the USB ports "burn out" and lose some power? The external works fine on another PC, so im led to believe it's my mac, which is pretty annoying.
Any thoughts? Thanks,
Luke
