Hi everyone,

So I've always found the cable they supply to go from the power brick to the MacBook is always a bit too short, and so in the past I've always bought the extension cable that goes from the power brick to a wall outlet. Of course that means my power brick is always in the middle between two cables, and the weight can sometimes make it prone to fall if I place it on something (say a table).

Would I have any issues if I bought a USB-C Extension cable to extend the length of just the USBC Magsafe cable (and still having the power brick itself plugged into the wall)?

Thanks!

It comes with a 2m MagSafe 3 cable.
I always feel weary of using 3rd party accessories. Who knows if using a usb-c extension cable will prevent the Mac from fast charging.

I would just use the extension cable. I hate that apple stopped supplying us with it. I still have my original from my old 2012" 13 that I use.

You need to make sure the extension usb c cable supports the required voltage of MagSafe.
