I bought a refurb 2018 iPad Pro 11" and love everything about it except the lack of headphone jack. I use Shure SE215s (detachable mmcx cable IEMs) and I bought Shure's Bluetooth adapter. The sound quality seems lacking in high end compared to a wired connection, especially noticeable with Spotify.
I noticed Shure makes an MMCX to USB-C adpter as well as there being numerous 3.5 mm to USB-C dongles available. It seems like it would be extremely awkward to use the iPad in portrait mode like this, but was wondering if anyone has experience with this. I have a 2013 MacBook Pro with a 3.5 mm jack, an iPhone 7 with a lightning port and now the iPad with USB-C. I just wish they'd stick to one standard.
