Hi guys I would like to buy both in space grey, but I really hate the thing about still using lightning port for recharge.. do you expect Apple to update these with usb-c port anytime soon?

No because Apple earns much on Lightning cables sales! Why would they give that up! Beside USB C is and Intel spec and Apple doesn’t pay Intel any more money, that’s why Apple is going to their own processors at this time!

@vannix simple thing is that Lightning is nearly ubiquitous, and until such time as Apple drops it there's no reason for them to switch those over to USBC.

Both devices are quite efficient and mine infrequently need to be charged. If you truly do not currently possess a Lightning cable you can use on the infrequent occasions you need to charge these, the Amazon Basics cables are inexpensive and work well.

(and let's be realistic - the licensing-revenue argument is specious; it's improbable more than a handful of trackpad/keyboard buyers don't already have a lightning cable - thus the use of Lightning vs another port isn't going to generate enough differential revenue to be even a blip on anyone's P&L)
