iPad Pro USB-C port durability

Hello, everyone!
I would like to enjoy my new iPad Pro 12.9 2021 as long as possible.
Since I'm using it pretty much (photo editing, taking notes - primary device), I would like to know your experiences with the USB-C port.

See the following scenario: I'm taking pictures with my camera, after that I plug an external card reader in, transfer data, unplug and then I'm working on the pictures. Battery is going to be empty in approximately 6/7 hours, so I plug the device in for charging. Because I'm using the tablet this much, I'm plugging/unplugging 4 times or more per day.

Do you have any experiences in durability or another convenient possibility to charge and transfer data? I know that charging can be achieved via magnetic cables, but is data transferring also possible?

It is rare to see a loose port problem for the iPad on the forums. As long as you are careful to remove devices by pulling straight back from the iPad and not trying to remove at a sight angle from the port all the time, you should be fine.

The USB-C ports design is pretty durable. I don’t think you have much to worry about.

As @Apple_Robert mentions though. Don’t rock the cable side to side to unplug it or otherwise add excessive stress to the port that isn’t needed.

The USB C fit will become looser after a few thousand insertions to the point that you'll have to be careful when it's plugged in to ensure it doesn't wiggle loose. All data ports wear out eventually. Datasheets on other connectors usually have insertion ratings

I’d expect that for the traditional ones which have a thin metal wall. Apple relies on the aluminum body instead which should afford a higher durability rating.

At least that makes it easier to take the connector in and out of the device!

I think the port should last for a long time. Issues with loose ports are not common.
