USB c to hei cable charge MacBook Pro?

will using a USB c to hdmi cable plugged into a 1080p monitor charge the MacBook Pro through the power supply of the monitor or will I need to have an additional port to charge it?
 
The HDMI port on the monitor carries very, very little current. It will not charge your MBP.

Also, this is the Mac Pro (desktop) forum, not the MacBook Pro (laptop) forum.
