USB-C to Mini DP?

Is there any chance that we can expect that USB-C to Mini DP adapter/dongle is coming?

I just wanted to re-use the existing Thunderbold/mDP - DP cable, and a mDP-VGA adapter...

that's not a good idea. the apple cdmi adapter only supports up to 1080p.
but with the native support for this usb c, display port is supposedly to support higher resolution. though no one has confirmed this yet.
anyway, i just don't feel like it's a good idea to use adapter-adpater.

because I also do have a monitor connected by a mDP cable. I wanted to plug my MB via various mDP cables/adapters that I already invested in. Hopefully, being able to charge at the same time.

This Hydradock project is already live on Kickstarter:

It seems that they've already tested it on the new macbook, and they've confirmed that it won't work with the Apple Thunderbolt display (check the Q/A at the very bottom)--but it will work with a standard mini-displayport adapter.
