Hi Guys,

I have the M1 MacBook Air and since it has USB-C . I just purchased an USB-C to USB-A Adaptor like this and when I plug it into my MAC with the USB-A plugged into the Adapter and the Adapter into my Mac. it does not show up in Finder. And Yes I have checked show External Disk in General and Sidebar in Finder Settings, Still it is not showing nor it is it showing in the Disk Utility APP?

Will it not show?

Does it even make 'contact'?
I have had bad experiences with multiple connectors together.
I replaced them all by a single (right!) cable.
;JOOP!

You don't provide details of what external USB devices you are attaching to the USB-A > USB-C adapter. Assuming your MBA M1 is running macOS Sequoia, check Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom and review the Accessories setting.

My Mac Studio M1 doesn't show the "Accessories" setting for some reason…and I've got plenty of them attached.

Anyway, here's an article to peruse if you haven't already:

EDIT: that "Accessories" setting only applies to laptops.

I have a USB A Peth Drive which directly won't connect into the M1 MacBook Air so this Adapter acts as a bridge with ind which has USB-C going into the Mac C Port and the other end i can insert the USB -A deves in if.

I have multiple USB-A to USB-C adapters (in both directions) and all of them seem to work as expected with USB devices as expected. No magic needed. If yours does not work I would first check the adapter with different USB device (mouse, keyboard...) and see, if other devices work. If not, bad adapter. If yes, it may be incompatibility between "the stuff". Not every USB-A device will work with every adapter. I have USB SSD which does not work when attached via any USB-A to USB-C adapter to M1 MBP (worked with i7 MBP), but works fine when attached to powered thunderbolt hub. Annoying.

MBA M1 may not be providing enough power via USB-C port. What brand/model/etc of USB-A > USB-C adapter is it? What is a "USB A Peth Drive" ??

Ok, Other than Apple's own USB-C to USB- A Adapter can you guys recommend any other Third Party Adapter ? which will work with the M1 MacBook Air?

I suggest you get a cable with USB-C on one end and USB-A on the other. Cut out the middle man it's probably where the problem is
The Amazon basics one works fine and depending where you are, it'll be about $5

What's a "pen" drive?
Is that a USB flash drive?

Easy.
Get one of these:
It's so useful, you might get TWO of them.

I realize you're not in the USA, not sure if they have this particular item where you are.
Here's a general search on amazon:
IMPORTANT:
I recommend that you DO NOT get the "tiny" adapters, as they can block adjoining USB ports.
Instead, get one that has a short "cord" between the connectors, like the one I pointed to above.
