USB-c to USB-A hub

I have two USB-C to USB-A hubs (4 ports) that have the same annoying behaviour. One is from AUKEY, the other is from TRUST.

When I have a USB(-A) drive connected to one of the hubs and I later connect a second drive to the same hub, the first drive is (brutally) unmounted and remounted. After that, both drive operate normally.

Any suggestions for another brand/model that is more robust?
