Where I am
Do you happen to own a Mac Mini M1? If so, did you purchase a new USB camera, for video calls/FaceTime and such? If so, what is your make and model?

Am looking for ideas and suggestions. Thanks

And, does it seem to work well with FaceTime?
It does. FaceTime recognizes the camera without issue, as does Safari (Google Meet, for example), Microsoft Teams, and Zoom. System Preferences recognizes the microphone built into the camera as a system-wide input device, so while I haven't tested it yet, I should be able to make and answer phone calls on the computer using the webcam's microphone for input.

Just got back from Best Buy. And, $105.99 later, time to install and setup this new camera.
Good thing I had a $50 credit with Best Buy :D

I must say, the 13 megapixels certainly makes a difference. Honestly, was rather tempted to go for the other cheaper model, listed in this thread. But, seems the main difference between the two, was the megapixels...

Little late to the thread but I have the Logitech 4K Brio cam and it works fine on both my 2018 Intel and my 2020 M1 Mac Minis. I use it for Facetime as well as live streaming on YouTube and Facebook via StreamYards and it works great.

I do use a separate mic however as the audio, while fine from the webcam for FaceTime, is better with the pro mic I use.

Thanks, I actually already purchased and have used a few times now, the Brio. Very nice camera. Just tested it today on Windows 10 PC. Worked fine, too. Rather pleased with my purchase…
