Hi,
I purchased a Samsung i8910 mobile phone.
The first couple of days it got recognized by my Mac Pro when I connected
it (USB). Today it stopped working. The cable can't be the problem because
it's still charging while being connected to the computer.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?

It could still be the cable. One loose connection may allow it to charge but stop data transfer.

What program are you using to recognize it? Try DOubleTwist if you haven't already.

That's good to know. Thank you for your help.
The weird thing is that sometimes it establishes a connection after I remove the battery of the i8910 and put it back in.

Ok...this is really weird. I just found out what the problem is.
When the SIM card is removed the i8910 gets recognized.
When the SIM card is in it doesn't get recognized.
