USB DAC through USB-C - not working!

Hey Mac Peeps,

I have a USB DAC that sounds great. Previously I had it hooked up to my old imac. My new macbook only has USB C. When I hook up my DAC to my mac I either use the USB ports in the back of my old apple cinima displays, or a usb Hub... neither works for sound!

How do I get my USB DAC to work with my new macbook through USB C?

With an adapter like the Syntech Adapter for Mac Book Pro C-2 adapter or something like this or a whole c-USB cable!

Try an adapter like this:

Then, try this:
Plug it directly into a USBc port on the MacBook.
Does it work?

If "no"...
- Could be software drivers (if it uses any)
or
- Might be some kind of hardware incompatibilty...
