I have a USB hub connected to my MacBook Pro. On it are my Mouse, Keyboard, USB Hard Drive, and iPod. When I plug in the USB hub, or after a reboot or re-login, often not all devices are found on the hub. So then I have to unplug and replug that specific device. It's just one device that fails to connect; sometimes it's the keyboard, but other times it's the external drive.

Generally, my MBP fails to find all USB devices when the hub is attached.

Is this normal? Or is this something I should look to AppleCare to fix?

It's powered. All of the devices work on the USB hub just fine. But when the MBP is reconnected to it, it doesn't find everything initially. I then have to manually disconnect / reconnect one or more devices manually so they are seen by the Mac.
