Hi,
I need some serious help.
I use TM for nearly 1,5 years by now on an external HD-drive (MAC OX-X extended not journaled - stupid mistake
). Last week I accidentially disconnected the drive, during system shut-down.
Anyway, the drive seems to be mad of me and lets me only read the content on it, but I lost my write priviledges...
I tried to repair the drive with disk utility with no luck ( hd invalid index key).
So I got another driver (now journaled!) and wanted disk utility to copy the files from the old to the new drive. It just says "can't verify disk size". So now luck.
Carbon Copying is no good choice either, as every single incremental backup will become a full blown one.
I checked a lot of forum threads but couldn't figure out how to get the data from the old drive to the new one, or how I could delete the last backup-step (which must be causing the problems).
DiskWarrior might be usefull as I read, but it costs $ 100 or so and I can't be sure that it can repair the problem.
Does anybody know of a method to get my data from the one to the other drive?
I really, really appreciate your help!
Patrick
