Can anyone recommend a usb flash drive I can use between my imac running o/s 10.4.11 and a pc running windows xp pro sp3 oem?

I need to transfer .aif (aiff) files between my imac and the pc.
The files will later be converted to .wav files.

Can I just plug it in and copy the files or will I have to format the usb drive? So I can transfer the files to the pc?

Thank you.

Any drive will work, you just have to use right format. FAT32 is the best for Mac & PC as both can read and write it without extra plug-ins but it has individual file size limit of 4GB so if you're moving big files, it's not good. NTFS is the second best but you need NTFS-3G for your Mac so it can write NTFS volumes

Thank you both for your prompt replies.
Networking both computers is an excellent solution. For today I will settle for getting a usb flash drive to get the project running.

You both mention 4GB limit - any suggestions on which vendor? I did find a
usb flash drive at the apple store website - though it says 8GB. Can this work?

The actual disk can be 400GB but an individual file e.g. a movie cannot be over 4GB.
