Hi everyone, I'm a new Macbook user as of today. I need some help as far as using a USB 2.0 data cable to: recharge and transfer photos, music from my Motorola Moto Z6c to my new Mac.
Can anyone help me? Thanks!

It should appear as a mounted drive (the memory card) on the left side of a the finder window. You should just be able to drag and drop. What happens when you plug it in?

A lot of Motorolas require you to have software to communicate with the phones, Motorola Phonetools is the software on the PC. There's also the option of 3rd party software, Mobiledit.

On the PC side, when you plug in a Motorola phone, the computer sees it just as a modem device, not sure about on the mac side.

If it's just placing files on the memory card, then yeah, OP should be good treating it as a drive on the desktop. Also, Bluetooth might be able to be used in place of a USB cable.
