i've seen this electronic drum kit online and wondered if anyone has seen something similar which is compatible with a mac?

Devices need drivers...and some USB devices are Windows-only....

Any electronic drum set with MIDI out will work with OS X (and GarageBand, etc.) if you add an OS X compatible USB MIDI interface (~$25 and up) to your Mac...
