Anyone else notice this? When I plug my USB adapter in, my fans start revving at 6200rpm. Idle CPU temp is approximately 60ºC. Then, when I unplug the adapter, the CPU nearly instantly drops 5ºC, and within a couple of minutes I'm looking at ~45ºC.
What's up with this? Has anyone else noticed? While I understand that USB takes some CPU cycles to run, this is ridiculous since there is barely any traffic and yet the fans are cranking. When I plug in my USB hard drive, the temps will only increase if I'm actually running the drive.
