INam having a lot of issues hooking up a legacy usb 3.0 drive with a usb c adapter to my 2020 MacBook Air. the drive keeps stalling and disconnecting. Ive tried 3 different usb a to usb c adapters and the result is the same. if I try and copy a file from the external drive to my 2020 MacBook Air it usually gets about halfway through the copy and then just stalls. no data is being received on the air and its like the drive is just hanging. after about 10 minutes it just randomly disconnects. if I hook this drive to my 2013 Mac air using a regular usb connection there is no issues. I've tried both thunderbolt ports on my 2020 MacBook Air and on both ports my usb 3.0 drive fails and hangs during copy. is this a known issue?
