USB/Firewire issues with my PowerMac and ACD

I have my Apple Mighty Mouse plugged into my Apple Keyboard which in plugged into my 20" ACD. I have the Firewire/USB cables hooked up properly into the back of my G5 PowerMac.

The problem is whenever I restart my computer, the keyboard and mouse don't seem to work. This is usually remedied by unplugging the keyboard USB from the back of the ACD and plugging it back in.

Do you guys know of any reason why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?
