hello i have a muvo mp3 player that i accidentally formated that has no mac drivers it is supost to be able to open automaticly but it doesnt
it says the disk cant be read and to initialize so i try and i get eror messages so i used the pc software with win98 on vpc and it doesnt work even with the drivers and it will load in os 9 when i format using os9
how could i fix this so it loads in osx (panther)

Have a similar problem

Got the SonyEricsson HBM-30 Bluetooth headset and MP3 player.

It uses Sony Memorystick for the music files.

Worked fine when booting in OS 9, but since i got panther on my AlPB 15, it doesn't seem to work.

Memorystick shows up on PB desktop but when putting Memorystick into the HBM-30 again, it cant read it.

So as the man says, pls help someone if you have a clue.

for the MuVo, go to a windows PC and format it in FAT.

the music/battery part must be encoded to read FAT and play mp3 on it. so once you formatted on a Mac (HFS), it's no longer recognized.

Mac has FAT driver so that's why those disks can be read. but non-Macs typically don't have HFS drivers.

well what do i use on a pc to format it to FAT the muvo formating tool doesnt see any thing when i try to use it
