I need to read/write to some MSDOS-formatted floppy disks (DD/720 KB, but I also tried HD/1.44MB disks) using an external USB floppy disk drive and am having strange issues. Sometimes disks show up in the Finder, other times they just spin for a few seconds and stop without anything happening.
I would understand if the disk format isn't right (they've been used on Atari computer), but that doesn't explain why I can't show the disk/USB disk drive in Disk Utility with the option to reformat/initialize the disks.
Is there some hidden command in the Terminal I can use to force the disks to show the disks in the Finder, or is all this due to lacking floppy disk support in MacOS Mojave?
