USB HD for Time Capsule backup

From a previous post, it was recommended that I go the route of using the USB port on my Time Capsule to connect a USB hub for a printer and external HD. The external HD will be used for Time Machine backups for two MacBooks (the internal drive is too small and I do not want to disassemble the TC).

I am looking for a good external HD recommendation for the purpose of plugging into a USB hub on the Time Capsule and using it for backups. What drive is recommended, and where should I purchase it from?
Also, what USB hub should I use for this (printer and HD)?

1) Any USB HD will work until is HFS formatted. I have a LaCie Rikiki 1TB
2) Any USB Hub will work. I have a Belkin 4 Port portable and I've never tried to connect a printer.

Go on the nearest BestBuy, Fry's or look on Amazon or NewEgg and choose the ones fancier for you.
