Hi,

I am trying to access my external hdd, I have 2 external hdd. The first one is a 2.5 hdd that came with the original MacBook. The second one is an external digital western drive.

Problem:
It started after my upgrade to 10.5.6, (or so I've noticed), when I plug the hdd into the USB my computer grays out and this little box that says "hold down the power button to restart your computer" in German, French and Spanish.

Does anybody know about this problem? Is this a PRAM problem? Or is it a faulty USB controller.

Thanks!

My config:
Mac OS X 10.5.6, MacBook 2.2 Ghz Duo,

My console log is attached.

That's i think a kernel panic, im sorry but thats all i can help with, but i guess you can google that and see what comes up

This has happened to me 2 times but it was with a USB AT&T 3G laptop card. It was always when I would pull it out, even though I was properly "ejecting" the device. It hasn't happened since ive updated to 10.5.6 (yet)

Either of you 2 with the problem try jailbreaking your iPhones lately?

I get a kernel panic the same way if I plug in any drive when using 10.5.5 kext files for jailbreaking on my 10.5.6 system.

No my iPhone isnt jail broken... It's been tempting lately but I doubt I would ever really do it.
