Hey there, I posted this in another forum but maybe this is the place to look for help.

I like to play games on my Mac online. I have a headset (the third one so far) and it (like all the others) has an issue with its microphone. After a certain amount of time, the mic will start making really weird noises. I used to unplug my mic (via USB) and that would solve the issue. Lately I've realized that if I open Audio MIDI setup and toggle the microphone format (between 44100.0 hz and 48000.0 hz) that it resets the sound and I sound fine. What I'm wondering is whether or not there is a way to make some kind of short cut to do this for me so I don't have to open that and do it manually.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
