Dear all,
I got an Eizo EV3285 monitor to complement my 2018 MacBook Pro 15 inch. The monitor and the MacBook are connected only by USB-C (Thunderbolt). The monitor supplies the MacBook with power. Video and audio data is transferred from the MacBook to the monitor. The monitor also has a USB hub with two USB-A connectors. An Apple keyboard and a mouse are connected to these ports.
When I plug in the USB-C cable the monitor shows at once the macOS desktop. Sound works too. MacBook is supplied with power.
But here is the problem: Often the keyboard and the mouse do not work after the first time the USB-C cable is plugged in. After a few times is works. If it does not work, the red led in the old mouse stays dark. If it work the led is on.
Apple says it is a problem of the monitor and Eizo says is a problem of the MacBook.
Does anyone of you have an idea?
Best regards,
Fabian
