usb hub question...

hey,

if i buy a usb2 hub and connect a usb1.1 device to it, will it slow down other usb2 devices that are connected to it? i remember reading that it would but am not really sure or maybe i was reading the wrong thing. lol. i know it applies to wireless, so i'm not sure if the usb2 hub will revert back to usb1.1 if connected to a usb1.1 device.
