I'm having a problem with powered USB Hub's while my iMac sleeps. They will just cycle power.
For example if I have an iPhone plugged into it, it will charge to 100% then kill power to it, then charge to 100%. So the iPhone will sit there and beep/buzz as the power cycles repeatedly. A BD drive light will just flash as it is turned on and off. Etc.
I thought it was my USB hub so I bought a new one. Exact same problem. So I had the new one replaced. Exact same problem.
I've done and SMC and PRAM reset which didn't help anything.
I've tried to enable "power nap".
I've tried disconnecting all other USB devices.
I've tried unplugging the USB hub (from the wall).
I've tried testing the USB hub on a Windows machine, works fine.
Anyone else have a problem with this or know anything I can do to make a powered USB hub act like another USB port when my iMac sleeps?
Thanks in advance.
[doublepost=1453036934][/doublepost]This didnt start happening until El Capitan. I had it in that forum for that reason but I guess a mod moved it because I didnt explicitly say that. Sorry.
Any help would still be nice.
