Hey guys i have a mid 2011 imac running lion.. i am trying to install windows vista and i am finding that my wireless keyboard isn't working(which i expected) but my usb keyboard is not working as well. is there something i need to enable? before or during to get this keyboard to work as i cannot install windows without it :/

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers, Gunzy

This doesn't account for the keyboard not being usable, but know that if you are using Boot Camp to load Windows, you can only run Windows 7 on Lion, you cannot install Windows Vista. Is the keyboard an Apple one?

thank you for responding! no the keyboard isn't an apple product, however it does work when plugged into my imac under normal circumstances just not when trying to install windows.

My guess would be that the base drivers the Windows Vista installer uses are unable to recognize the input from the keyboard. If you have an Apple USB keyboard from another Mac, this should be straightforward enough to verify if this is the case.
