Or is there a way of requiring a password every time data is to be copied to an external media?

Thanks

I'd simply encrypt the drive using either an encrypted disk image, or use TrueCrypt to create the volume. I know there's ways to disable the USB ports, but I don't know of a way to password protect them directly for known/unknown devices.

Oh right, thanks for the advice, but I would much rather password protect the USB ports.

Does anyone else have any thoughts?
