USB Macbook problem

Hi

New to the forum, i hope this is in the correct section.

Now on my intel macbook 1 of the usb ports seem damage, it looks like the contacts have broken,

i have no idea how this has happened, and am sure nothing was forced in.

The macbook was brought in march,

Would the warrenty cover this ? or would apple charge me a arm and a leg to fix it
