Hi,
First of all, I am new to this forum, but have been a Mac user for over 12 years. I love this site! I checked this daily before purchasing a MacBook Pro yesterday.
I am seeking recommendations for a good, inexpensive USB network card for my wife's Dell. I purchased Airport Extreme with my MBP, and also have an iMac that I purchased last year that I will include on this network as well. The Macs are ready to go, the Dell (bought in '03, running windows xp) does not have a wireless network card. It was recommended to me that I buy the USB type, but I have some questions: How is the D-Link Wireless N USB Adapter - DWA-130 (available at Taget/Best Buy for $50), and should I be looking at getting one that has 802.11n wireless capabilities? Are there any compatability issues with Airport Extreme? Any others that are tried and tested that I should consider?
Thanks for any advice!
Brian
