When I plug my iPhone into my MBP (left side USB) it continually disconnects and re-connects on its own. The phone is chiming up every minute or so and it's really annoying.

Now, if I plug it into the right side, it's fine. And if I plug in my keyboard to the left side, then the phone into the keyboard, it's fine then too.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I basically had the same issue as you at the beginning of this year. I would plug my thumb drive into the right USB port and it would work fine, but if I plugged it in the left side, it would constantly get disconnected. I took it to an Apple Repair shop and they ended up replacing the logic board... now it works perfectly. I had AppleCare, so it was free.

I'm not saying that's what's wrong with yours, but I'd get it checked out.
