USB OUT TO DAC/AMP (PROBLEM)

Having a problem playing my music files with an outboard amp/dac.

I have the usb cable running from the iMac to my amp/dac - I have the "Audio Midi Setup" set for the proper output, but no sound. Is there another item I must check off? Thanks.

What DAC do you have, I know this might be 'Captain obvious' but is there a volume control on your DAC, you haven't turned up?

Try holding Alt and click on the Volume icon in the menu bar and check it's set to your DAC.
