I want to expand the number of USB sockets on a Sawtooth G4 that I have recently acquired. As USB 2.0 would be nice I'd rather add a PCI card than buy a hub. My guess was that PCI USB cards would be sufficiently generic to "just work" but now I look a lot of them seem to come with driver CDs for Windows and no mention of Mac compatibility.

So can I just buy any old PCI USB card and expect it to work? Or must I try to find one by a specific manufacturer or with explicit Mac support?
