i have a g3 slot-loading imac. the deal is that my #1 usb port craps out sometimes. sometimes it works, then sometimes it doesn't. it's pretty annoying since this is the port i usually hook my keyboard to. is this a software problem? is there software to fix it? if it's not, i didn't know usb ports can wear out. any help would be appreciated. thanks

If I were you, I'd just buy a USB hub 4x at Fry's for three dollars and never fool around with the port again. On the old iMac's, there is way too much plugging and unplugging going on because there are only two usb ports and one is needed for the keyboard.
